Turtle Apple Slices

Ingredients
  

  • 2 apples* sliced into ½" slices
  • cups chocolate chips we like dairy-free dark chocolate
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • cup pecans toasted
  • flaky sea salt

Instructions
 

  • Line a medium baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice apples into 1/2″ slices. Make a small incision in the bottom of the apple slices and stick in popsicle sticks.
  • Melt chocolate in a double boiler or in 30 second intervals in the microwave stirring often. Mix coconut oil in with the melted chocolate.
  • Dip apple slices in chocolate and place on prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with pecans and place in refrigerator to harden for 10 minutes. Melt caramel in a double boiler or microwave. You can also use caramel sauce. Drizzle with caramel and sprinkle with sea salt.
  • Return to the refrigerator to harden again, this time for 5 minutes. Serve.
