Sweet and Savory Strawberry Ricotta Toast

Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices bread of choice. Seedy grain bread, your favorite sourdough, or an everyday loaf
  • 3/4 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup strawberries* sliced or chopped
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • black pepper
  • herbs* basil or thyme, optional

Instructions
 

  • Toast breast in toaster or in skillet with butter.
  • Spread ricotta cheese on each slice of toasted bread. Top with strawberries.
  • Drizzle balsamic vinegar over strawberries and season with fresh cracked black pepper to taste and herbs, if using.
