Ingredients
  

  • ¼ cup walnuts toasted
  • 3 cups spinach* fresh, washed and dried
  • 1 cup basil* fresh, washed and dried
  • 2-3 cloves garlic* or garlic scapes*, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup olive oil extra virgin, high quality
  • 6 tbsp parmesan cheese grated, optional
  • 1 pinch nutmeg grated, optional
  • salt + pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a food processor, combine walnuts, spinach, basil and garlic. Process until well chopped, scraping down sides of the bowl once or twice. With the motor running, add olive oil through the feed tube in a steady stream; stop machine, scrape down sides of bowl once or twice. Stir in cheeses (if desired) , nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve on pasta, grilled chicken, bread, crackers or whatever your heart desires!
  • Refrigerate or freeze unused portions.
