Cherry Syrup

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cherries*
  • cups sugar granulated, less for more tart flavor
  • 2 cups water

Instructions
 

  • Remove pits (you can tear them out, gently, since it won't matter what they look like) and stems. See video for tips!
  • Over medium-high heat, add cherries, sugar, and water to a pot and bring to a low boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool for a minimum of 10 minutes before transferring to a blender. Blend for about 30 seconds.
  • Strain liquid with a fine mesh strainer and store in a sealed container.
  • Use a tablespoon or two at a time to add to your favorite summery drink!
