As our neighborhoods turn from snowy white to luscious green, local farms are starting to deliver fresh produce to customers and grocery stores.

One of the most popular ways to purchase food from local farms is through the Community Support Agriculture (CSA) model. A CSA is an opportunity for the community and local farmers to work together to create a resilient local food system. Growing vegetables and fruit is heavily influenced by the seasonal and unpredictable weather.

How does a CSA work?

CSA members buy a share prior to the beginning of the growing season, which is their commitment to support the farmer through whatever the season brings. In exchange, they receive regular shares of the season’s bounty.

We have some great CSA options available right here in N. Iowa.
