This Summer ‘Field Day’ Coalition meeting will be held on Tues., July 23rd, 2:30-4:00pm at Central Gardens of North Iowa in Clear Lake. Join the NI Local Food Coalition for an exploration of Central Garden with a highlight of their Kids Garden programing, a conversation about how the best laid plans don’t always make for a successful community garden, and collective learning and brainstorming on how to create a garden in your own community. The meeting is free and open to the public. Bring some friends!

The Spring meeting of the Coalition will be held Tues., April 24, 2:30-4:00pm at the North Iowa Landfill Education Center. The meeting is free and open to the public.
In addition to the conversation with Jones and Hills, this meeting’s agenda will include updates from priority projects, including food hub development, farmers markets, food waste, farm to school, and community gardens. These teams welcome newcomers into their conversation.
