September Workshop: Apples
For our first ever virtual workshop, we will be talking all things apples and making apple sauce! Bring your favorite apple recipe to share, and grab a glass of wine or tea and get ready for a bit of a social hour!
Residents in Cerro Gordo, Franklin, Floyd, Hancock, Kossuth, Mitchell, Winnebago, Worth, and Wright counties of Iowa will be given priority for this limited-capacity workshop.
What you will need:
- 3 Tart apples* (e.g. Haralson)
- 3 Sweet apples* (e.g. Cortland)
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp Maple syrup (optional)
- 1 tbsp Cinnamon
- 1 tbsp Fresh lemon juice
- Pinch sea salt
- Large dutch oven or stock pot
- Large wooden spoon
- Apple peeler (optional, but recommended)
- Blender (optional)
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
