HHNI Field Day: Sassy Hens Farm Stand
Sassy Hens Farm Stand will be hosting a field day from 2 to 4 pm on August 17th at their family farm in Riceville, Iowa. This will be an open house event where participants are invited to explore the fields, learn about Charles and Karrie Hirst’s farming operations, and meet the real sassy hens in the chicken coop! See all that the farm stand has to offer and sample some of their delicious produce and canned goods, including Karrie’s famous Cowboy Candy.
The AgVa Foundation has provided generous support to this programming, the creation of “The Gathering: Coming Together Around Local Food”, the North Iowa Local Food Coalition, and more.
