Mossycup Farms Field Day
Join us for a free, fun, and educational field day in Clear Lake at Mossycup Farms on June 15th!
Tours of the farm, commercial kitchen, and farm store will take place at 2:30 and again at 3:30. Learn about the animals at Mossycup Farms: heritage hogs, peacocks, turkeys, and chickens! Laura will demonstrate how lard is rendered in order to be used in cooking or soap-making. Enjoy some refreshments and conversation with other local food lovers, while taking in the amazing views of the countryside. Children are encouraged to attend, and there will be a special scavenger hunt for young locavores, but be advised that the animals at Mossycup are free-range so everyone should be aware and mindful.
After the event, participants are encouraged to check out the Mossycup pork on the Cafe Mir menu in Fertile, just a few miles away.
