Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes from Kollasch Family Farms
A delicious twist on a weeknight staple featuring local ground beef. This recipe comes from Kollasch Family Farms of Whittemore where they produce sustainable beef by feeding organic grasses and grains grown on our certified organic farms. Add the ground beef to a large skillet (we prefer a cast iron if you've got one) and brown until a deep brown crust appears before breaking the beef apart.
To the skillet add the butter, onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms. In a small cup, mix the beef broth and cornstarch together. Add the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, beef broth/cornstarch mixture into the pan.
Cook 3-5 minutes. Turn off the heat, add in the provolone cheese. Enjoy!
