Basil Mint Lemon Slushie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup basil* packed, more for garnish (optional)
  • ½ cup mint* packed
  • ½ lemon zest
  • ½ lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp honey* or maple syrup*, more to taste
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 cups ice
  • lemon sliced, for garnish(optional)

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients EXCEPT for the ice to a blender.
  • Blend on high until everything is mostly smooth.
  • Add the ice and use the ice crush setting to crush the ice until it is smooth and a slushy like consistency. You may need to stir it a few times to break up the ice.
  • Transfer to a glass and garnish with a lemon slice and/or mint leaves or basil leave, if desired.
  • Serve immediately.
